SIDE BY SIDE EARLY INTERVENTION CENTRE warmly welcomes children with disabilities and their families to a nurturing and supportive environment. Situated in the heart of Goreangab, within the vibrant township of Windhoek, our center is dedicated to providing comprehensive early intervention services tailored to meet the unique needs of each child.

At our center, we believe in fostering a sense of community and understanding, recognizing the importance of collaboration between caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals. Our commitment extends beyond the physical location, as we aim to create an inclusive space where children of all abilities can thrive and reach their full potential.

Our Initiatives

Parent Workshops Each month, our team of professionals conducts training sessions on Early Childhood Development for staff, parents, class assistants, and kindergarten teachers. The training covers pertinent topics designed to empower parents, caretakers, teachers, and the community. I Want To Attend Yearly Fundraisers Each month, our team of professionals conducts training sessions on Early Childhood Development for staff, parents, class assistants, and kindergarten teachers. I Want To Be Involved El – Andri Butterfly Project This initiative collects donations for children diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy who reside in challenging circumstances. Advocates of the Side by Side organization create these butterfly crochet pieces, which are distributed annually in Namibia from September 1st to October 5th. I Want To Assist Weekly House Visits We engage in smaller initiatives that center around individuals, enabling us to offer support to caretakers when a child's condition is critical and requires urgent attention. Typically, this serves as a short-term measure to assist a family in getting back on track. Donate Daycare Center (Rehabilitation) The daycare centre is operational from Monday to Friday for 24 children with multiple/severe disabilities. We also provide a healthy breakfast for these children. Find Out More Early Intervention Services Accommodate approximately 44 families for early intervention sessions at the centre, helping babies and toddlers to achieve their developmental milestones or maintain their physical needs. I'm Interested Neuro Natal Clinic Side by Side attends the Neurodevelopmental clinic every Thursday to follow up on children born with a high chance of having developmental delays. Through this, together with a team of doctors and therapists we diagnose the children early and effectively implement the process of Early Intervention. Find Out More Special School Readiness Focusing on preparing children to enter a special needs school or even a mainstream school. I'm Interested Individual Sponsorship Programs We also take on Individual programs where we run smaller projects, allowing us to provide relief to a caretaker when a child’s condition is severe and needs immediate attention. No, you do not need a formal referral. Parents and caregivers can contact us directly if they have concerns about their child’s development.

No, we also offer mobile and outreach services. We support children in their homes and in communities such as Okahandja, Rehoboth, and partner care facilities to ensure access to services.

We believe caregivers are key to a child’s development. We provide training, practical tools, mentorship, and emotional support to empower caregivers to support their child in everyday life.
